This is a Limited numbers day running with fewer cars than many other Track days held at this circuit.


We have chosen the last Friday of the summer to visit which is Friday 31st August.

After what was a few years of uncertainty Donington is now back providing a truely spectacular place to drive your car.

Donington Park is once more one of Britain’s most popular racing circuits and home of many World Championship Events. With timeless classic bends like Craner Curves,McLeans and Coppice this place has not lost any of its charm over the years.The Craner Curves section of track alone is worth driving the circuit for.

At just under 2 miles long we will be running with limited numbers to ensure a "open pit lane", on the "National Circuit".

Donington is easy to find and has great acesss from the M1 Motorway being just 4 miles from junctions 23 / 24 .

Opentrack have been around for almost 4 years now doing track days at mainly msv sites due to the great facilities there at most of the track's.

We have 3 more events to go this year which are Snetterton 300 in october, Oulton park in November and then to end the year we are at brands Hatch on Friday 9th December.

With all out days you get the "extra's" in the price such as Tuition by grade A tutors, free photography, and free Garages that some people like to charge up to £40 for and best of all lots of free snacks and drinks during the day from 07.30 till 17.30


As regards prices we are very very good value not the cheapest but them we don't run as many cars as some, so you do have space.And when you add the "extras' in to the cost we are great value.

My name is Mike Walmisley, I have recently set up a car trackday company called Apex Trackdays.

A large group of my friends have been doing trackdays for in excess of ten years and in that time we have had the normal friendly competition, not racing but gradually improving our cars so they are better than each others, secretly buying new ones and secret mods... all normal stuff.
Anyway, I decided to set up Apex to clients a fairly transparent trackday experience. The booking fee, which is competitive, includes free second driver and passenger. My view was that it costs me no more for a client to have a passenger or indeed for a car to have a second driver, therefore, I will not need to pass on the extra cost. Each driver will also get a free photograph of their car on track emailed to them after the event, not watermarked plus the opportunity to buy more photographs that the professional photographer will be taking on the day.

A number of my friends are supporting the company so there should at most events be a good mix of cars.

Every year a friend and I put on a couple of trackdays for our local Forum/Car Club. We held one at Goodwood in Feb and we have this one on Thursday 3rd February.

Due to a lack of uptake on this day due to it moving twice because of snow I am offering it to other selected groups as an opportunity to come and join us. Our days are extremely relaxed, always Open Pitlane and the lowest numbers you will see anywhere.

Total cost is £125 for a max of 32 cars

You will not get as much tracktime anywhere as you will with this day. We do not run these for profit but purely to offer our members track time.
